The History
Union, Love and Commitment were the strong values left by the ancestors to the future generations, the values and teachings.
One of the most important person of the family has certainly been Agar Sorbatti, who left an indelible mark in the family history. She was born in Loro Piceno and she became in 1923 the first engineer in Marche. Her nickname was Camà and Tenute Murola, the family winery, dedicated one label in her honor.
Fede Bonati, Agar’s daughter, married the young officer Antony Mosiewicz, another important person in the family history. Antoni, nicknamed Antek, was born in 1913 and Cantine Murola dedicated an exceptional Merlot label to him. His history is enormously influenced by the Second World War in which he takes part and stands out with great merit. He takes part to Italy liberation and this will become his second homeland.
Antoni and Fede’s sons – Jurek, Robert, Enrique, Ferdy and Rita – keep on their father’s work, managing the family business.
In the 1980’s Villa Virginia Superior in Stresa is purchased by the family, becoming a reference point for all them. The mansion is a perfect example of the early twentieth architectural century with its liberty style.
The rooms are full of amazing paints, grand tapestries, antiques and classics style furniture from the 1800’s. On the two floors there are 4 elegant bedrooms, one of which has been designed by the famous architect, Gio Ponti. The tower on the top of the mansion offers a wonderful view of the Lake Maggiore.
In the park you can find a flowing source of water, centuries-old tall trees, marble sculptures, a stone fountain and other refined furnishings.
Next to Villa Virginia Superior, you can find Villa Virginia Luxury with its v-shaped structure that seems to surround the swimming pool. The mansion has been completely renovated by the family with an eclectic modern style. At the main entrance you can admire the splendid decorative mosaics.
